  Eating at the Drake House is a lot like eating at your grandmother's house...if your grandmother doesn't like a lot of seasoning and charges you $16 a person for lunch. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything spectacular. Most of the dishes are simple country cooking, which is great, except I could do them far better at home. The lack of seasoning was apparent in most of the dishes. The fried chicken was okay and probably would have been good had it not been kept warm in a steamer, making the breading soft. I don't know if they charge that much for lunch every day or how much they charge for dinner because they don't have prices posted anywhere I could see. We walked in thinking it would be $10-12, so getting hit with a $32 bill for mediocre food (and waters) was pretty shocking.
